The action or access levels #
- Create – create or add a new entry
- Update – edit fields or update data within the entry
- Read – view only, without the ability to edit or delete
- Delete – ability to permanently delete an entry
- Approval – approval means the ability to approve or authorise an action, such as a timesheet or leave request, that has been submitted
- Unapproval – unapproved means reversing the action of approving something. For instance, reversing a decision to approve the timesheet will send it back to the Submitter in a Rejected status
The Timewize areas #
These Timewize areas are generally aligned to the functions or modules available on Timewize. Within each area, users may create or interact with data entries or perform actions.

The level of ownership #
The data in Timewize is attributed ownership based on the source of the data entry, who the data is related to, and who manages the subject of the data or the Timewize area within which the data is kept.
- Own – data entries which are created by the user (e.g. your timesheets) or about which the user is the subject (e.g. your own personal profile)
- Manage – data entries to which the user is specified as a manager (e.g. a resource manager or a project manager)
- Any – all data entries, regardless of who created or manages each entry
